SDK Release - version 1.0 B2

Mac OS

A new VixML SDK (v1.0 B2) is now available. Please see the Getting Started page to download it. Some of the features in this SDK are:

  • Ability to detect collisions between objects (for creating games)
  • Ability to manage variables for game scores and other counters
  • Ability to access features in the app wrapper from VixML. Examples include: capture & save snapshot, email snapshot from within app
  • Added prototypes and instances to allow for more reusable VixML code.
  • Added attribute randomization to allow easy randomization each time a scene is run.

Windows

The VixML SDK for Windows (v1.0 B2) is also now available. Please see the Windows SDK page to download it. The capabilities of the Windows version are the same as the Mac version with the following exceptions:
  • The Windows VixML SDK requires updated OpenGL drivers and a graphics card capable of hardware OpenGL acceleration.
  • AAC sound files are supported on the phone, but not in the Windows simulator. Only MP3 files are supported for background soundtracks.
  • Exporting of .vix bundles and movies is not supported. VixML submissions may be made using zipped archives of the VixML media.
